平湖琴社，平湖者，宁静平和之意，是一代琴圣管平湖的名字，以“平湖”为名是表示对老一辈琴家的尊重，也代表对琴文化的一种传承，更是对“清微淡远，中正平和”的古琴哲学的高尚追求。琴者，禁也，琴是“礼”的体现之一。我们希望通过平湖琴社，社员们可以了解古琴，学习演奏古琴，甚至可以掌握制作古琴的一些技巧。最后，可以从古琴的“形”，走进真正的“神”，从而了解古人的古琴哲学。
PINGHU qin club is a club focus on all issues involving “qin”，which is an traditional Chinese musical instrument. We focus on the playing of “qin” tunes ,the discussion of “qin” history ,the skills of designing and producing “qin” and its related crafts and the propagate of “qin” culture. Our target is to let more people know “qin”，learn how to play it and experience the culture and philosophy behind it，hence to be closer to our ancestries. PINGHU qin club started its activities on September, we held our activities on Thursday in the classroom of class1 grade11(which is on the ground floor of building12) . The activities has a duration of one hour. In this semester, we pointed on the creation of 2 piece of “qin”, and the teaching of playing “qin”.We also listened to different “qin” tunes . PINGHU qin club is planning to have a concert with other clubs next semester and we will prepare for that important event.
